President's Message
In September 2007, I received an e-mail from Soo Fon asking whether I would be interested to help with the setting up of the Lodge School Alumni Association. I signed up not knowing that this would be quickly followed by a request to act as the Protem President.
The Alumni Association 'officially' came into being on 17.12.2007 and a protem Committee was formed: -

Vice President: Lim Soo Fon
Secretary: Antionette Goh
Vice Secretary: Ronald Ling
Treasurer: Caroline Chien
Committee Member - Public Relations: Vincent Teo
Committee Member - Education/Events: Goh Ai Fen
Committee Member - Membership: Joanne Jong
I suspect that the post of Protem President came to me due to the 'seniority' of my age more than anything else.
It's been more than 10 years since I left Lodge. Yet, every time I come across a fellow Lodgian, I still find myself excitedly answering "Me too! I'm from Lodge as well." I would like to think that it's the same for many of you. The multiple on-line Lodge communities created by Lodgians certainly indicate that.
With this Alumni Association, we hope to create an 'official' portal for all ex-Lodgians. A place for Lodgians to keep in touch, network and maybe, even contribute back to Lodge. With close to 55 years of history, that's a lot of Lodgians!
But, an Alumni association would be nothing without the Alumnus. We need your support. It is, after all, supposed to represent and hopefully benefit all of you. Please sign-up as a member quickly.
Before I end, I would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr. Gerald Lee and the School Committee for their kind guidance and support. Special thanks to the Protem Committee members as well for all their hard work and time.
