Q: How did you come to decide upon pursuing your current occupation? Was it something you always knew you wanted to do, or something you stumbled upon along the way?

A: It was something I always had interest in. I love animation - I love watching it, I love studying it and I love working in it.

Q: What have been the highlights (favourite projects/s or experiences) of your career so far? And what is it that drives you to continue on in this industry?

The best experiences I've had are working with the talented crew at Rhythm & Hues. Everyone is so nice and laid back. The deadlines can get tough but working towards it as a team is half the fun.

Q: Are there any common misconceptions about your profession you could dispel for us? Perhaps there are certain negative aspects within the industry that the students interested in this profession may be unaware of?

It is a surprisingly small industry. You will find yourself knowing someone who knows someone who knows someone. It's always best to stay professional and never burn any bridges. It is also a lot of contract, short-term work - although there are full time jobs out there.

Q: What are your plans for the future?

A big fat retirement :)

Q: Could you share a little about life in your current city or residence?

Los Angeles, at first, pales in comparison to San Francisco. However it does get its claws into you and soon you can't leave. I really love the west side because it's closer to the coast. As for things to do - I wouldn't know because I like to go home and put my feet up. Disneyland?

Q: Words of advice for current Lodgians considering a career in your field?

Just stay focused and hang tight to your passion. Also try not to love your work too much because it is a lot of re-dos! Good luck!
